Best Places For Lunch In Fayetteville When You Need To Fight Hanger

Fight the hangry monster with this detailed guide on where to find the best places for lunch in Fayetteville, NC.

Fried Turkey Sandwich Shop

What a wonderful treat the Fried Turkey Sandwich shop is.

There’s more than one location and I can only speak to the one on Owen Drive, but it was a fantastic experience from start to undoing-the-top-button-of-my-jeans finish.

Let’s start with the Sandwich. I got the Turkey Day and it was like a Thanksgiving dinner wrapped in toast. Ah-mazing! Turkey and stuffing with cranberry sauce and gravy to top it all off.

The staff were really friendly and welcoming which was the cherry on top of the whole experience.

I have to let you know about sweet potato squares too which I absolutely recommend trying. It was a delicious sweet treat and the best way to finish the meal.

Gaston Brewing Company

For a lunch date downtown, check out Gaston Brewing Company.

I’ve been here a couple of times and it never fails.

The outdoor seating area has a lovely, casual ambiance but the good stuff doesn’t stop there. When it comes to the food, it’s all sorts of hearty, comforting, pub food style goodness. I love the huge, flavorful burgers and the bourbon pecan pie is pretty amazing too!

If you’re a beer fan, you can try all sorts of different brews and getting a tasting tray is a good way to try a few at once.

Don Ramon’s Taco Shop

I have to share my favorite Mexican food place with you and it’s Don Ramon’s Taco Shop.

This is one of the best places to go for lunch in Fayetteville because it’s a small, family run restaurant with generous portions of fresh, tasty food and a huge range of options. There’s something for everyone.

You can sit in to eat or, if you’re in a rush, they also have a drive-through option which is convenient.

The burro mixto is my favorite, but everything I’ve had there has been delicious so I’m not sure you can go wrong.

Southern Coals Restaurant

If you’re looking for some BBQ, check out Southern Coals Restaurant.

You’ll get some great tasting BBQ and generous portions in a casual environment. Make sure you go hungry!

Not only was the food great, the staff were super welcoming and friendly too which always takes the dining experience to the next level.

An added bonus, it’s next to Burney’s Sweets and More if you want to finish it off with a sweet treat.

Pharaohs Village

For super tasty mediterranean food, I highly recommend a visit to Pharaohs Village.

The lamb is the best meat in my opinion, but I love that you can try it all on a platter and see what you like best. Add on a few sides like hummus, stuffed grape leaves, and baklava and you have yourself a tasty feast fit for a Pharaoh.

Remember to get the mint tea so you can imagine you’ve been whisked away to a riad in Morocco.

Fayetteville Pie Company

There’s a lot to love about the Fayetteville Pie Company.

I love the lunch deal where you can get pie with a side of pie. With this deal you can choose one of the savory pies and one of the sweet pies to create your delicious combo.

The pie flavors change regularly so each time you go there you can try something new. My favorite has been the pulled pork with sweet potato topping but I’ve never had a bad meal there.

It’s a really cute spot with chic ambiance that makes for a fun and delicious lunch date.

Grilled Ginger

Adding this one in for the pho lovers out there, which admittedly I wouldn’t put myself in that category.

However, my husband loves the odd pho so that’s how I came across Grilled Ginger. I’m adding this one to the list because he loved it and went back multiple times for lunch so I think it deserves a spot here.

It’s not just a place for pho, you can get all sorts of tasty Vietnamese food there.

Blue Moon Cafe

Another great option for lunch in downtown Fayetteville is Blue Moon Cafe.

When I moved to Fayetteville, a good amount of people recommended the crab dip and it did not disappoint. I’d never tried a crab dip up until that point and it had me wondering how I ever survived without it.

The tacos and sandwiches (my favorite is the T.A.B) are also pretty delicious there too.

It’s another place with outdoor dining, a relaxed ambiance, and certainly worth visiting for lunch if you’re exploring downtown – whether it’s a solo date day or with others.
